We toured the Malarkey shingles plant located in Oklahoma City today! We were very impressed with their attention to detail and especially the quality of their Legacy Class 4 impact resistant shingles!
Malarkey offers various shingles with Class 4 impact resistance, meaning they are designed to withstand significant hail and wind damage. This rating, the highest possible according to Underwriters Laboratories (UL), indicates the shingle can resist a 2″ steel ball dropped from 20 feet without cracking. The impact resistance is achieved through features like rubberized asphalt, which adds durability and shock absorption. Homes with Class 4 shingles may also qualify for insurance discounts.
